Falafel!

We walked into the city today, WALKED! It was so nice to be able to do that. Our old place was a 25minute drive away, whereas this is a 20minute stroll- lovely 🙂 The weather was breezy but with sunny intervals and it was just good to be out in the fresh air (and saving money on parking!).

Lunch was a new experience...

We recently discovered Moorish, a falafel bar in the back lanes of Norwich and thought today was the perfect opportunity to try it out. I've had falafel before (fried balls of ground chickpeas) but not in this takeaway style eatery. It was cheap, super healthy and surprisingly filling! I opted for a Mediterranean falafel with aubergine and lots of salad, very tasty. The falafel is tucked into a pitta pocket (wholemeal or white) with a choice of chilli, tahini or yoghurt sauces (I had yoghurt) and served in square wooden bowls. It feels simple, rustic and refreshing. Recommended even for serious meat lovers!
