5k - 10k

So I may have said previously that I wasn't going to follow a specific training plan or app after completing Couch to 5k...

And that worked for a few weeks, although I have felt that my running and workout routine generally has been a bit haphazard and unfocused (in part due to a number of other reasons...)

So from this week, I'm trialling the Active.com 5k-10k app - this is by the same creator as the C25k app that I used, and loved, so I'm hoping that this one is equally successful. I think I need a little more structure and guidance at this beginners stage, and having set workouts will hopefully prevent me from getting injured as well.

I also do one Spinning class and one Body Pump (weight/strength training) class each week (well, I try!), as I know that it's important to fit cross-training into your schedule. Plus it's fun to workout with other people with loud pumping music, for the group motivation factor!

Todays workout involved my first Tempo run:

Only 3 minutes, with 10 mins of easy running either side, but you have to start somewhere πŸ™‚

Do you ever feel like you need a bit more guidance or structure to help you achieve your goals?
