This is my second month being part of Foodie Penpals, a "food parcel network" that enables food bloggers and readers to connect and send each other fun goodies.
Click here for more information, and here's my post from last month.
For March I sent a parcel to Ruta in Lithuania! (she hasn't actually let me know whether it arrived yet, so fingers crossed she got it ok!) She doesn't have a blog so I took a quick photo of everything I sent before I packaged it up- I tried to send her a fun mix of items, with a London theme π
Popcorn, a trio of teas, strawberry jam with champagne and whisky marmalade, honeycomb and chocolate fudge and coffee. I also sent an extract from the Guardian with some great recipes highlighted and a postcard explaining everything π
My Foodie Penpal parcel came from Kerry in Buckinghamshire- she works in the food industry so sent me a great selection of things, as well as pages of recipes relating to her Polish roots. Thanks Kerry!
Check out all these awesome goodies!
First up, a porridge sachet and breakfast pot- I love Dorset Cereals, and these would be perfect to take to work if I was running late, or if I persevere with the whole "run commute"!
Next, some tomato and oregano breadsticks- great as a snack...
Curry paste and a Schwartz pasta sauce mix- great when you don't have time to cook from scratch!
Kerry also included a fish pie sauce which I'm intrigued to try as I've never seen these jars before. And an indulgent hot chocolate pot, yum! As well as some cool seaweed salt- I've tried smoked salt before as well as some different coloured varieties so am excited to see what flavours this brings to my cooking.
Next some tea- this looks similar in style to the Jasmine Pearls Teapigs tea, in that you make it in a large glass mug and watch the leaves unfurl- pretty π
And finally, a little sweet treat for Easter and Red Nose Day! Love!
I can always make a home for a little Lindt bunny π
Thanks again Kerry! Head over to Lindsay's blog to check out what everyone else received this month.
