I've loved Teapigs tea for quite a while now.
I am generally a fan of a relaxing cup of tea after a long day, or on a lazy Sunday morning in bed, or with cake and a natter with friends- at any time really!
I discovered the little tea temples of Teapigs through a friend (thanks Rachel!) and haven't looked back- they offer so much more flavour than other teas, and feel luxurious and special.
Teapigs pride themselves on using only whole leaf tea, and whole herbs and flowers which makes a huge difference to the intensity of flavour and aroma you experience.
Their tea temple is a simple, convenient (and ingenious) way to enjoy proper whole leaf tea, the quick way, without needed to brew a pot and use an infuser, tea strainer etc. Of course that whole ritual is nice to do sometimes, but the tea temple made of it's biodegradeable mesh (corn starch) offers whole tea the room to infuse properly. In doing so, Teapigs have offered the convenience of a teabag with the taste of real tea- brilliant π
I've tried quite a lot of their different flavours- I currently have a huge box of Superfruit in my cupboard which is brilliant in the summer as an iced tea. Lemon and Ginger is great for when you're feeling a little under the weather, and I also love Chai with its subtle spiciness. I even have a box of Chocolate Flake, tea with a hint of dark chocolate, for when I'm feeling especially indulgent...
The Darjeeling Earl Grey is a great everyday, or afternoon tea though. Lighter than a breakfast tea, it combines whole Darjeeling leaves with the citrus taste of bergamot and little blue cornflowers (which you can see in the tea temple).
Brew for around 3 mins and then drink as is, or with a dash of milk.
Heaven π
