The Thomas Lord Sunday Lunch : Review

Before my work training course in Spain and holiday in Barcelona, Mark and I spent a long weekend in the New Forest- a lot of jetting around these past couple of weeks!

On the way down we stopped for a pub lunch at The Thomas Lord.

It was lovely to relax and enjoy the Sunday papers and a leisurely lunch.

Look, teapigs! No wonder I'm grinning...

Mark enjoyed a venison burger with beetroot and parmesan fries...

...whilst I had the best roast beef dinner I've had in a long while! The beef joint had been water-bath cooked which made it very creamy, and with amazing flavours. It was a generous portion too, not just a measly thin slice which you sometimes get.

The large plate was served with cauliflower and swede mash, as well as a side serving of roast potatoes  mustard roasted parsnips, cabbage with bacon, and the best Yorkshire pudding.

And yes, I'm not ashamed to say I ate all of this, it was so good!

(I was rather stuffed afterwards, and had to ask Mark to take the corners slowly though.) I'd definitely recommend The Thomas Lord for a brilliant Sunday lunch, and am looking forward to returning to try some of the other items on their menu!
