We also did a lot of double under practise on Wednesday- I managed one but I think it was a fluke as I couldn't repeat it! They're so hard - like patting your head and rubbing your stomach! I'm tempted to get a skipping rope and practise at home... π
Double Unders = Jump and swiftly swing rope around body and under feet twice before landing. Repeat.
Thursday's class also featured Double Unders!
A s well as a pyramid type workout, starting with 10 (or 20) reps decreasing down to 1 (or 11).
WOD:
10-1 Deadlifts
20-1 Double Unders
10-1 Push ups
I used 15kg for the deadlifts but could probably have gone a little heavier, although I finished roughly in the middle of the group at 8:02mins. I didn't manage anymore double unders though, sticking with single skips.
PS. In case you were wondering, "Skin The Cat" is a gymnastics move on the rings - I couldn't do it! But here's how it should look:
Ouch! I just had fun playing on the rings and trying to lift my feet up- that was hard enough!
