Not much to report really!

1. I'm plodding along with my physio exercises and foam rolling...

My physio said on Tuesday that my ITB is a lot better, less knots and my left quad is much looser. My right quad is still pretty tight so I'm trying to focus on that this week, but I've always been a bit lopsided!

2. Attending Crossfit sessions twice a week- much more manageable than 3 times, and means I enjoy it a lot more. I know some people go 5 or 6 times a week, but I'm not looking to become an elite Crossfitter, and want to be able to continue my running/cycling/yoga etc as well.

Monday's WOD

60kg deadlifts on Monday followed by a WOD which looks simple/easy, but really kicked my butt! FYI, goblet squats are holding a kettlebell - much more awkward than a bar squat!

3. And running twice a week. Just short distances at the moment, and without any "tech" while I get my legs sorted out.

Wednesday's run was at lunchtime with my friend Alice from work - we managed to pick the only rain shower to run in, so got completely drenched! But had a lovely chat as we ran up the river and back.

Sunday I headed out on one of my favourite local loops - just 2.5miles, but it takes you down a lovely little trail past the river. There was lots of squelchy mud and crunchy leaves - proper autumn running! I feel like my Brooks Ravennas do a pretty good job as a door-to-trail shoe as well...

So that's it really! I didn't get to a yoga class this week, but I did do some videos on Youtube:

This is a good one (although a bit tough for me in places), and you can download the audio and PDF pose sheet from yogadownload.com.

I also like this super short "ITB Relief for Runners" video by Runner's World, as it's one you can easily tack onto the end of a run if you're short of time.

Do you have any fun trails near you for running? What videos on YouTube help your exercise routine?
