21 Days of Yoga - halfway through!

Since the start of January I've been participating in Charlie's 21 Day Yoga Challenge...

The Runner Beans

So far I've completed Erin Motz's "10 Day Ab Challenge" which included short yoga and pilates inspired routines to tone your core, essential for getting rid of lower back pain, keeping the spine healthy and maintaining good posture.
The challenge involved lots of front planks, side planks, boat poses and intense moves!

And on Saturday I attended a Beginners Yoga Workshop at Yoga on the Lane in north London with some friends. The workshop was interesting in that it was really basic, and the teacher spent a lot of time just talking at us, about breathing and the background of yoga and alignment issues etc. Which was interesting, and taught me a bit more about the foundation of practising yoga, but I was a bit disappointed at the lack of actual physical movement! I was hoping for a little more "yoga" at a beginner level, with breakdown/explanations and modifications for beginner yogis. The long relaxation at the end was good though! πŸ™‚

So 11 days of the 21day yoga challenge done!

For the next couple of weeks I will probably try and do a combination of at home videos and studio classes. Any suggestions?
