A Fresh Look

As you may have noticed I decided to kickstart my 3rd year of blogging with a brand new look for Miss Wheezy!

After browsing the web and reading up on the possibilities of designing my own site, I decided that for me, the writing, photography and experiences of blogging are much more important than learning the technical side of  things. That may change in the future but at the moment, I want to focus on the aspects I enjoy the most πŸ™‚

With that in mind, I opted to purchase a stock template, and request some customisations with colours to make it a bit more "me".

I stumbled across Graphic Cookies on Etsy, and loved the variety of Blogger templates available, so got in touch. They were hugely helpful, and we had a good back-and-forth conversation looking at colour schemes, and making different changes until I was completely happy. I also got social media icons for my particular accounts included, as well as some comprehensive and easy to follow installation instructions.

I would highly recommend Graphic Cookies if you're looking for a little more individuality with your blog! They also offer fully customised designs for Blogger and WordPress as well.

Favourite colours!

As part of the "new face" I also took the step of purchasing my own domain name from "Go Daddy" (weird name) for the princely sum of Β£2.99 (per year). So I am now misswheezy.co.uk (although the blogspot address will still redirect).

I am loving the sleek new design and am excited to follow it up with lots of awesome posts! Thanks to everyone for all the positive feedback so far πŸ™‚

Would you design your own website? What colour scheme would you choose?! As my friends now, I love blues and greens, that reflect coastal themes!
