Fancy signing up for something a bit different this Spring?
I'm lucky enough to have been offered a place in the Wings for Life World Run. This is a race with a unique format, and sounds pretty awesome!
On May 3rd at exactly 11am UTC (12pm UK time), all across 40 different locations around the world, thousands of runners will set off. Then 30 minutes later, Catcher Cars start to chase the runners.
Because the finish line chases the runners rather than the other way around there is no limit to how far you can run and it means that the race is accessible to everyone- you could run 5k or 50k! The winners are the male and female runners who keep going for the longest!
You can check out the Goal Calculator here to estimate how far you would get- based on my average pace of 7min/km I would only achieve about 10k before the cars caught up with me, but I'd be pretty happy with that!
Once you have been eliminated from the race, you simply board a shuttle to be transported back to the start.
One of the best parts about this race is that 100% of the proceeds go to the charity Wings for Life, which funds world-class research aimed at finding a cure for spinal cord injury. All of your entry fee will be contributed to these life-changing projects, with Red Bull covering the administrative costs.
The UK event will take place at Silverstone Circuit, one of the the world's most iconic motorsport venues.

Once you've registered for the race you can sign up to join my team and we can see how many miles we can log together, and outrun those cars for as long as possible!
