3-Ingredient Chocolate Salted Caramel Peanut Butter Cookies

Hognuts Nut Butters

Hognuts Nut Butters is a company who create artisan, limited edition delicious nut butter products. I'd heard about some of the amazing sounding flavours in their range before - from Mississippi Mud Pie to Millionaire's Shortbread and White Chocolate and Red Berry, the only difficult decision was deciding which one to try first!
The team at Hognuts create every tub of nut butter from scratch starting with raw nuts, and adding simple natural ingredients. I opted for the Chocolate Salted Caramel Peanut Butter which has agave, raw cacao and sea salt crystals added to make something so sensational you will struggle not to spoon it straight into your mouth!
After a quick test, I managed to restrain myself long enough to whip up these simple 3-ingredient cookies.

3-Ingredient Chocolate Salted Caramel Peanut Butter Cookies

These are the simplest cookies you'll ever make! Ok, so there's no way you can really call them healthy - but the peanut butter is a good source of protein, and with minimal ingredients you know what's going in to them, and can easily make a small batch. The below list of ingredients makes 6 good sized cookies - warning though, they're highly addictive and mine didn't last long!
1-cup Hognuts Chocolate Salted Caramel Peanut Butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
Mix all the ingredients together, and spoon onto a baking tray. Cook at 180 degrees for around 10minutes until golden brown - they will come out of the oven still a bit soft. As they cool, the outsides will harden, while the inside remains chewy and awesome!

I still have a good amount of the Chocolate Salted Caramel Peanut Butter left, and assuming I manage to stop myself from inhaling it with a spoon, I'd like to give it a try in a baked berry porridge and on pancakes! This recipe for Salted Caramel Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip bars from Averie Cooks also sounds pretty amazing...

Which flavour of nut butter would you go for?

NB: I was sent some nut butter to try by Cardiff Sports Nutrition - who have a great selection of products on their website - but all opinions and cookies are my own!
