WIAW: What I Ate Wednesday 25

Back on the WIAW wagon!

To check out what you've missed this week head over to Peas&Crayons to join the WIAW party - a huge congratulations to Jenn who's just given birth to her daughter! πŸ™‚

I had a couple of weeks off, mostly because I was forgetting to take photos of my food (!), plus it was pretty boring- the usual stuff I've posted about before.

Yesterday's eats were a little more exciting...

I had my usual pre/post Crossfit snacks - a Trek flapjack at about 6am when I got up...

...and a whey protein shake mixed with almond milk after the class at 8:30ish.

Mid-morning snack of a banana

Lunch - Leftover roast chicken, mozarella, tomato, cucumber and spinach salad

Afternoon snack - Cocoa orange nakd bar and an iced latte at The Press Room after work πŸ™‚

I went to a Q+A session at Bikelab in the evening with South African Olympic triathlete Gillian SandersΒ and her coach James Beckinsale, organised by the London Duathlon - it was a bit of a surreal experience as I was the only blogger and London Duathlon participant there! Nobody else turned up so I was just chatting away to all these serious athletes and cyclists! I'll be posting some of the tips and tricks I picked up in the next few days. Am slightly gutted I didn't ask for a photo...

Gillian Sanders - she was really friendly and lovely to a complete newbie! Source

After that I met Mark for dinner at Fishworks in Richmond, where I opted for the battered cod, chips and mushy peas. It was a little disappointing to be honest- the batter was vinegary and soggy so I mostly ate the fish, and Mark helped me finish my chips!

Where's the best place you've ever had fish and chips? Mine would either be Aldeburgh on the Suffolk coast as the fish was awesome, or on Manly Beach in Australia - purely for the location! πŸ™‚

Ever met any famous professional athletes? I felt a bit of a fraud really considering I've only had my bike about 3 weeks, but Gill was lovely.
