I've had a bit of a relaxing week after my two 10ks - they both went really well, I'm really proud of my times and I loved racing with a big supportive crew of girls! It was great fun π
I haven't actually run since the We Own The Night 10k however, as I decided to take a couple of weeks off to work on strengthening exercises for my knee, and also just to add a bit of variety. I think it's important to mix things up occasionally so that when I do run again it will feel fresh and enjoyable still!
Plus it's been great to take advantage of the Cyclebeat 30 day Unlimited offer and get to as many classes as I can!

I noticed a big difference when I took a class by a different instructor on Friday! Delvin's classes have now been renamed as "Vibecycle" as they're all about the rhythm of the music and cycling to the beat, which is great fun.
But once I took a class with Anthony, it became apparent that you can work a lot harder in 45minutes! His class was more like a traditional (but really good) Spinning class, with hill climbs, sprints and seriously high intensity! I found his constant repeating of the phrase "this is easy!" to be a tad annoying, as it clearly wasn't (!) but he was obviously trying to make it feel effortless. I think I'll need to be a lot fitter before that feels easy! I really enjoyed the sweaty class though π
On Saturday I visited my parents and as it was such a lovely day I went for a long walk with my sister - it was a great way to catch up with her, and we ended up doing quite a long loop, although some of it was on a busy road which was a bit hairy!
I continued the theme of walking lots over the weekend by heading to Runnymede near Windsor on Sunday. As a National Trust member you can park by the river for free and then walk in either direction, or across the road to the various memorials.
The weather was sunny and it was a really nice walk, despite the path by the river following the road some of the way.
Once you cross over the road it becomes much more peaceful though! Lovely π
Enjoy the sunshine! π
