Happy One Year Blogoversary Miss Wheezy!

My blog is 1 Year Old today!

I can't believe I've been writing it for a whole year- so much has changed in my life!

I feel like my writing has developed a lot too, and I have much more of a structure to my posts and a clearer idea of my blogging style.

I've definitely progressed in my running, which was one of the main reasons for starting the blog in the first place. It's become a great way to document my progress and see how far I've come, and I have a lot to plan and look forward to in the coming year as well 🙂

Here are some of my favourite running related posts from the last year:

APRIL
Fitness Plan - I introduced my "star chart" to reward my fitness progress.

MAY
Mizuno Wave Nexus - My first pair of proper running shoes.

JUNE
Wonky Legs - I saw a physio to deal with some running issues.

AUGUST
Run Beki Run - After a brilliant holiday in Australia, I started the Couch to 5k program.

OCTOBER
Race for Life Twilight 5k - My first ever "race", and the first time I ran (without stopping) 5k!
Beyond Couch to 5k - After completing the program I considered my options...
Norwich Park Run - I completed my first Park Run and got my first official 5k time.

NOVEMBER
5k - 10k - After being a bit aimless with my running I started a 5k-10k program. I got to Week 3 before things got complicated! I got a new job, moved house, it was Christmas and I ended up not running for about a month...

JANUARY
New Year's Resolutions - So come January it was time for action!
A Kick In The Rear - I signed up to a 10k as a motivational goal to get me going.

And since then, I have been pretty good at sticking to my plan and logging my weekly workouts!

Weekly Workout Recap 1 - incl. foam rolling
Weekly Workout Recap 2 - incl. Nike Training Club app and TRX

Weekly Workout Recap 3 - incl. rowing technique, spinning intervals and weights
Weekly Workout Recap 4 - incl. Bushy Park Run 5k
Weekly Workout Recap 5 - incl. dealing with missed workout guilt and running for chocolate
Weekly Workout Recap 6 - incl. #runcommute and my first Yoga class
Weekly Workout Recap 7 - incl. my longest ever run, 4.5miles, and new running shoes!

7 weeks! I'm convinced that this time, my changes and goals with be long term, and a lifestyle that I can stick with 🙂

And here's what the next couple of months look like for Miss Wheezy:

Saturday 13th April - Energizer Night Run 5k
April - Work training course in Spain! Looking forward to taking my running shoes to a new country 🙂
Monday 6th May - She Runs Windsor 10k
Saturday 18th May - Nike We Own The Night 10k

Thank you to everyone for reading and commenting, it's great that people are actually interested in what I have to say. I hope to see some of you at races coming up! 🙂
