Happy Birthday To Me

I turned 26 last Thursday πŸ™‚ I had a great day filled with yummy food, wonderful presents and fun experiences. Here's hoping that the journey to 27 is equally awesome.

Pancakes for breakfast cooked by Mark πŸ™‚ With cherries and blueberries, and agave syrup- yum!

Then I opened my cards and presents that had come in the post.

And the gifts that Mark had got me- he knows me so well!

Subscription to Runner's World, voucher for a sports massage, recipe book for Snog frozen yoghurt (this place is awesome!), and an IOU promising to pay for my Intro to Crossfit! Love this guy <3

Also check out the cute owl pin my parents sent me, and the pink wellie soaps from my sis in the background- she loves pink! πŸ™‚ My brother also got me a couple of jigsaws because he knows I like doing them. Really nice landscapes!

Thanks everyone!

Then unfortunately I still had to go to work...

But it was ok- I got lots of birthday wishes from my colleagues and had some yummy food.

Sushi for lunch from Wasabi that I picked up the evening before (it was veggie only so figured it was ok- did you know they take 30% off any leftovers late in the evening?!).

Followed by my homemade cookies mid-afternoon- oat cookies with coconut and chocolate chips.

They went down pretty well with people at work!

After work I met Mark to catch the train into London. We headed to Camden to go and see Russell Howard at the Roundhouse. This was one of his work-in-progress gigs, where comedians test out new material for the upcoming arena tours, so it was a really small venue and tickets were only Β£10!

We stopped to grab a bite to eat at Simply Fish, and shared a tempura platter with a side salad. The food was ok, but the service was fairly poor so we won't be going there again.

On the plus side, the gig was awesome- Russell was really funny, and he was accompanied by three other comedians, who also had some entertaining routines.

Before we went in we had a drink in the bar (the restaurant at the Roundhouse is also meant to be really good- Made In Camden), and Mark gave me a "birthday Creme egg" with a candle in! I absolutely love Creme eggs, and it was a really fun alternative to a cake, that made me smile (as you can see by the crazy grin in the photo below...)

Happy Birthday To Me πŸ™‚
