Icebreaker

Week Three of the 5k to 10k training program yesterday- a steady 20minute run at lunchtime (plus warm-up and cool-down).

I wore a new top I ordered from this website- they have flash sales on various different sporting brands, and while they're not always cheaper, they do seem to have some good deals.

I bought this Icebreaker Merino long sleeve top a few weeks ago, and it's just starting to get cold enough to need it!

It's a really nice blue colour and is thin and lightweight yet keeps you warm due to the material (merino wool from New Zealand, which is a great natural insulator).
It also has breathable areas (the light blue colour) on the arms, sides and back so you don't get too sweaty.
And I loved the thumbholes! My hands definitely get cold when I'm running and these were great, although I may have to turn to gloves eventually.
It was a tough run yesterday, despite the fun new top. I'm stressing about a lot of things at the moment, and generally feeling a lack of motivation and a bit under the weather, but I'm determined to keep on top of it and not let exercising slide. Generally it makes me feel better once I get out there, and I think it's important especially at this time of year - I want to be able to enjoy those mince pies with less of a guilty conscience! πŸ™‚
