I love the beach π Who doesn't really- there's something amazingly relaxing and refreshing about walking along the shoreline listening to the waves crashing in. And of course, picking up funny shaped/coloured rocks and shells, or admiring the weird patterns in the cliffs...
We made the most of the sunshine today and took a day trip to Winterton-On-Sea. Living in Norfolk the coast is always pretty close, and Winterton is about a 40minute drive from Norwich. My sister, Mark and I had a lovely walk along the sand...
and headed back across the dunes...
...by which time we were quite hungry! So we made our way to the pub in the village, The Fishermans Return. Great choice of seafood on the menu- I opted for the beer battered cod with chips and salad, a classic and totally immense!
The fish was huge and beautifully cooked- proper crispy batter and flaky fish, yum π My sister went for the same, and Mark had a Cromer crab salad with new potatoes (although I think he was secretly jealous of our fish and chips and ended up finishing up our leftovers!). I had a summer fruits Koppaberg to drink, and could quite happily have had a nap in the sunshine with a full belly after that!
