No cooking skills are required, just add 1 scoop of the powder and 3/4 scoop of water, and mix to a paste. Then microwave for 30 seconds, and allow to rest for a further 30 seconds before eating.

It tastes rich and chocolatey without that chalkey taste you sometimes get from protein products. The quantities suggested also make the perfect portion size to give you a sweet hit without over-indulging!

    • Top with greek yoghurt, fresh berries and honey
    • Chop up some banana and top with peanut butter
    • Add fresh orange zest and chocolate chips to the mix for a fruity twist

You can even make them in ramekins and serve as dessert at your next dinner party!

Or just cosy up on the sofa with a blanket and a cup of tea, and enjoy a little bit of "me-time" this winter. No room for sharing, a perfect one-person chocolatey portion.

Are you a fan of mug cakes? What would be your preferred topping?

I made my first mug cake the other week, but I didn't have coconut flour (the recipe I followed used it) so I used regular flour and had to guess. It was a bit eggy, but quite nice, although I had to cook it for ages.

I made a mug cake from protein powder and it was so rubbery but it was probably the recipe (and the protein powder) I used. This looks awesome tho! Need it in my life!
